PUPPY PRICING, DEPOSIT & PAYMENT
Our puppies generally cost $3,000-$3,500; depending on their size, color, markings, generation, sex, temperament testing & assessment they may cost more. Prices for individual puppies are determined prior to families selecting their pups. Our puppies are well worth it! Heavy costs go into their planning, curation, whelping, care and training. We will also be a dependable resource for you throughout your Lovey Dovey Doodle's life.
A $500 nonrefundable deposit will be required if you decide to reserve a puppy from one of our current/future litters. This deposit will go towards the total puppy purchase price. The order in which we receive your deposit is the order in which you are placed on our Puppy Waiting List.
Deposits are transferable to future litters if there isn't a puppy in a current litter that you pick. I do not choose the puppy for you, but make helpful recommendations based on puppy temperament testing results, your specific breed/color/size requests, and the information about your family and canine experience level that you provide me on the application and phone/Facetime call. We want you to have the best possible experience with a puppy that blends seamlessly into your family.
The total purchase remainder is due two weeks before Puppy Go Home Day. We believe that puppies bond best with their new families when they go home at 8 weeks of age, teacups will stay with us until 10 weeks of age. If you plan on your chosen puppy to stay longer with us due to circumstances; such as, planned vacations, surgeries, holidays, prior commitments, additional training, i.e, then, we will charge an additional $250 per week.
Each Lovey Dovey Doodle will be provided with a Go Home Puppy Package. The package consists of: one Snuggle Puppy with warmers & blanket that are scented with their mother and littermates, some of their puppy food mixed with probiotic powder, toys, certified veterinarian's wellness documentation, updated proof of deworming & immunizations, and training tips.
We accept Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, Certified Checks & Cash. Please note that with PayPal there is a 2.9% charge fee added to the transactional cost.
PREPARING FOR MY DESIGNER PUPPY
While you wait for the arrival of your little fur baby, it's a great time to start preparing. Where will puppy sleep? Will you crate train (which I personally love & will start their training in our home)? Who can let out my puppy every 2-3 hours at first for potty breaks while I work? Will we litter train because we live in an apartment? Which corner of the yard do we want to use as the designated potty area? Which certified veterinarian will we bring puppy to? The questions are endless but they don't have to be overwhelming. We are here to help you along your journey.
It's important to make sure you have all the necessary supplies, such as stainless steel or ceramic food bowls, water bowls, a crate, and toys. You should puppy-proof your home by removing any hazardous items and setting up a designated potty area. Don't forget to schedule a visit with a veterinarian within 72 business hours of coming home to ensure your furry friend is healthy and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training wise, I have personally used Baxter and Bella- The Online Training School. I became a member with my first Golden Cavapoo, Atlas. He's that precious face in the center of our logo! Their lifetime membership is both affordable and valuable; I specifically sought out partnering with them so our puppy families could receive their services at a 25% discount. Our discount code is LoveyDovey.
The dynamic Baxter & Bella online program goes at your own pace and offers lessons on preparing for your puppy, basic training, advanced training, live or recorded group online lessons, included private Facetime sessions with certified canine trainers in the event you have specific questions or behavioral issues, and podcasts.
There's also a fantastic puppy training guide, "Raising the Empowered Puppy: Have the Dog You've Always Wanted," written by The Badass Breeder Guru, Jeanette Forrey. Available on Amazon.
I have compiled a list under "Recommendations" in the navigational menu for items that we use a lot. If you are going to use a playpen, I highly recommend buying an inexpensive remnant piece of vinyl flooring from Lowe's or Home Depot to place under it. This will help preserve your flooring while you are training your new puppy.
It's also recommended by specialists to continue your puppy on the same food that we have been giving him/her for at least 6-9 weeks, with a slow transitioning to the new puppy food you'd prefer to use in order to decrease the likelihood of gastrointestinal upset. We currently feed our puppies Science Hills Puppy Food.
Steps to Follow to Transition Pup to a Different Food:
1. Start by mixing a small amount of the new food to the old food, gradually increasing the amount of new food over the course of a week or two.
2 Monitor your puppy's stool during the transition period to ensure they are adjusting well to the new food.
3. If your puppy experiences any digestive issues, slow down the transition process or consult with your veterinarian.
4. Once your puppy is fully transitioned to the new food, continue to monitor their health and adjust their diet as needed.
Remember, your puppies will need to eat three times a day until they get a bit older. This keeps them from getting hypoglycemic. Ask your vet when it is safe to transition them to two times a day.
I feed our Dams and Sires Science Hill Dry Dog Food, organic Wild Alaskan Oils, pre & probiotics, and fresh veggie/fruit/meat toppers. It gets pretty expensive but they are producing offspring and I want them in tip top form.

HOW TO PICK UP YOUR PUPPY ON GO HOME DAY?
On Puppy Selection Day you will be given a tentative date that puppy can go home.
At that time we can arrange any of the following options:
1. A day for you to pick up puppy here in Henderson, KY
2. You can meet us on Go Home Day at Nashville Airport in Nashville, TN (BNA),
free of charge to you.
3. For the price of a plane ticket a private flight nanny will personally deliver your puppy to you at your selected airport anywhere in the USA, Canada, or Europe. Puppies fly in a flight carrier bag inside the plane cabin alongside their flight nanny. Sometimes, we can coordinate multiple nanny puppy deliveries to the same airport to mitigate the costs of the plane ticket. Please note that if the flight nanny has to spend the night in order to catch a return flight, the new puppy owner will be expected to cover the cost of the hotel. We offer this flight nanny service free to our customers.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE AGREEMENT
Seller/Breeder, Lovey Dovey Doodles, agrees to:
1.Sell the Buyer a healthy puppy that is up to date on age/weight appropriate immunizations and deworming and puppy will come with a Certificate of Health from a licensed veterinarian obtained at the puppy’s 7-week health examination. Please note that the Seller does not imply or intend to imply size, color, or conformation.
2.Include a LIFETIME Genetic Health Guarantee for the 250+ life threatening breed specific defects that Embark DNA Lab screens for. This includes severe hip dysplasia grade 4, heart murmur grade 4, and luxating patella grade 4 defects. Not included is: internal or external parasites, hernia, liver shunt, undescended testicles, under/overbite, injuries, allergies, cancer, endocrine disorders, negligence/abuse, heat exhaustion, hypo/hyperglycemia, and disorders that are non breed specific or cannot be genetically screened for. It also does not include any illness due to the ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, or physical injury. Kennel cough, parvovirus and other communicable diseases are not covered after your veterinarian’s initial exam. Initial exam of sold puppy must be completed by the Buyer’s licensed veterinarian within 72 business hours of receiving the purchased puppy. Health examination later than 72 business hours will result in rendering the Seller’s health guarantee as null and void. Buyer must ensure that the puppy is held while in the veterinary office and does not come into contact with the floor or seating. The puppy should not be placed on the scales or examination table unless ensuring that they have been properly disinfected.
In the event of the canine’s death, a necropsy by a licensed veterinarian will be required to determine if death is due to a breed specific genetic problem or congenital defect. This is mandatory in order for Buyer to qualify for a puppy replacement. The necropsy report and communication from the Buyer’s veterinarian must be received by the Seller no later than one week after the puppy’s death and will be reviewed by the Seller’s licensed veterinarian. If the Seller’s veterinarian agrees that the puppy died from breed specific genetic disease or congenital defect/s the Seller will replace the purchased puppy with one of equal or lesser value when available but will not cover any other costs, including travel expenses, medical costs, necropsy or corpse disposal fees. If the Seller receives the Buyer’s necropsy reports and medical documentation later than one week, there will be no refund given. If the Buyer rejects a replacement puppy, all sales become final. Under NO CONDITION will the Breeder replace this canine if the Breeder was not advised of the puppy being ill beforehand or euthanized without the Breeders permission.
Under no condition will a puppy be returned for behavior or training issues as this is the owner’s responsibility and related to their environment/training. It is highly encouraged that the owner continues with the Baxter & Bella online training program offered at a 25% reduced cost for continuity.
This LIFETIME Health Guarantee is for the Buyer only and is non-transferrable.
If the puppy is found to have a life-threatening congenital defect in its first two years, then medical reports from two licensed veterinarians detailing findings must be submitted to Buyer, in writing, no later than 2 days after diagnosis. The two diagnosing veterinarians may be from the same clinic/practice. Life threatening is defined as “a genetic abnormality/disorder that will eventually cause the early death of the dog with life expectancy of less than 5 years either by the progression of the disease or by recommended euthanasia unless extensive medical care and surgery are performed beyond the cost of said puppy.” The Buyer assumes all veterinarian bills incurred up to that point on the puppy. After the puppy is returned to the Breeder, Breeder will replace the puppy with one of equal or lesser value and of the same breed when available.. The transportation to return the defective puppy is the Buyer’s responsibility. If shipping has been approved by the Breeder, arrangements will be made between the Breeder and the Buyer. Puppy becomes the sole responsibility of the Buyer once the Breeder delivers the puppy to transport personnel or directly to the Buyer; the puppy is in their care.
The Buyer is to have the purchased canine examined by a licensed veterinarian of their choice within 72 business hours from pickup/delivery. Failure to do so will void this contract and its guarantee. At this exam, if the puppy is found by the licensed veterinarian to have a life-threatening defect, the Buyer may return the puppy for a replacement puppy of equal or lesser value, when a puppy of the same breed becomes available. The Buyer will assume all costs related to puppy transport.
If the canine is found to have a fatal or severe life-altering genetic defect by age 1 year that is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian, the buyer has 2 business days to notify the Breeder in writing/email. All health documentation, including diagnosis, prognosis, diagnostics, and prior treatments and examinations must be sent to the Seller within 7 days of diagnosis for Seller’s licensed veterinarian to review. If the Seller’s licensed veterinarian agrees with the Buyer’s licensed veterinarian’s findings, then the puppy must be returned by the Buyer to the Breeder within a two week time frame from the date the Seller is notified. NO TREATMENT OR SURGERY CAN BE DONE ON THE PUPPY UNTIL THE SELLER IS CONTACTED AND HAS TIME TO CONFER A SECOND OPINION. The Buyer is responsible for any and all veterinary costs for the canine. No refunds will be given to the Buyer for veterinary costs. When the Buyer has chosen to return the puppy with life threatening defect/s, the puppy must be returned to Breeder within 2 weeks of the date that Breeder was notified. Any failure to adhere to this agreement will render a puppy replacement null and void. If the Buyer decides to keep a puppy in the event of a defect being found or does not make arrangements to return the puppy within 2 weeks of notification of defect, the Buyer then loses the right to replace the puppy at a later date. If the canine is returned due to a life-threatening defect, and the Seller’s licensed veterinarian agrees to the diagnosis of the condition, then a replacement puppy of equal or lesser value and of the same breed will be issued when available. If any health condition is identified, the BUYER will communicate solely with the Breeder.
Both parties agree that they will not disparage or denigrate each other orally, electronically, or in writing. Should the Buyer make online derogatory claims, then the Buyer agrees to have such negative claims and remarks removed from the world wide web. The Buyer shall also be responsible for any costs should the Seller need to enforce removal, including necessary attorney fees, court costs, and fees to the online company to remove the complaint.
Under no circumstances will a puppy be returned for behavioral/training issues. Our puppies are raised in a loving and nurturing home with robust temperament evaluations and curriculum. Again, Buyers are encouraged to utilize the reduced cost Baxter & Bella training resources for training continuity.
All age/weight appropriate vaccinations have been given to the puppy. The Buyer agrees to maintain the canine’s health in good condition by providing annual health examinations, immunizations, heartworm/tick/flea preventions as per the Buyer’s licensed veterinary advice, and treatments/procedures necessary to assure canine’s good health. The Buyer agrees to provide a suitable and safe environment for the canine. The Breeder’s guarantee does NOT cover any liability or injury, nor illness caused by stress induced hypoglycemia, canine influenza, pneumonia, internal/external parasites, ringworm, coccidiosis, giardia, hepatitis, other diseases/illnesses/viruses, nor mites after leaving the Breeder’s care. Please note that many types of parasites lie dormant in a canine and can be triggered by stress or change. This is why the Buyer agrees to not change the puppy”s dog food for at least 4-6 weeks after the puppy acquisition in order to not stress the puppy’s immune and gastrointestinal system. Also, there is no guarantee against illness/disease contracted after leaving the Breeder’s home. The Breeder strives to keep all puppies safe, clean, healthy, happy and ensure that the Buyer is getting a healthy puppy of sound temperament.
The Buyer agrees to:
1.Treat the canine with love and kindness and not abuse or neglect the canine; and to keep the canine INSIDE the home where the family resides. The canine will not be permanently housed in a kennel or kept chained outside.
2. The Buyer will keep up regular licensed veterinary visits recommended by their vet; including immunizations, deworming, and heartworm/flea/tick prevention.
3.The Buyer understands that the Puppy will be due for examination, fecal testing and more rounds of immunizations and possibly deworming. Fecal testing is performed by veterinarians to check for giardia, coccidia, and other parasites that are common in puppies. Should the puppy’s fecal test at the 72 business hour veterinary check be positive, then Buyer should request that the veterinarian perform a PCR fecal test. Health specialists recommend PCR fecal testing over “in-house” fecal testing. “In-house” fecal tests are often false positive and result in unnecessary overtreatment and resiliency of parasites. If the puppy is positive, simple treatment and de-worming will be prescribed by the licensed veterinarian.
4.Understand that until the puppy is fully immunized (around 14-16 weeks) the puppy should not be exposed to non-immunized dogs nor allowed in common dog areas; such as, dog parks, walking paths, public sidewalks, etc. All paws should be kept off the floors of public areas until the puppy is fully vaccinated.
5.Maintain their canine at a healthy weight.
6.Understand that If circumstances become so that the Buyer cannot keep this canine, the Buyer promises not to discard the dog at any shelter, humane society, or rescue group, and to make every effort to place the dog in another suitable home. If the Buyer is unable to provide a suitable home for the dog, the dog shall be returned to the breeder.
7.Understand this puppy is sold as a pet with no breeding rights offered. Proof of age appropriate spay and neuter is required no later than one year after the entering of this agreement; otherwise, this agreement is nullified. The Breeder is not responsible for the cost of spaying/neutering nor any sequelae related to said procedure.
*The Seller has the right at any time to stop breeding activities. In this case, no replacement puppies will be given, this contract is null and void, and no cash refunds will be given.
This Agreement is the entire Agreement between the Seller and the Buyer. The Seller and Buyer have made no other Agreements or Promises expressed or implied outside of this Agreement.
THIS DOCUMENT IS A LEGALLY-BINDING DOCUMENT BETWEEN THE SELLER AND THE BUYER. ANY COURT COSTS AND ATTORNEY FEES NECESSARY TO ENFORCE THIS CONTRACT SHALL BE PAID BY THE BUYER IN THE STATE OF KENTUCKY AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF KENTUCKY, COUNTY OF HENDERSON, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL GOVERN THE INTERPRETATION OF THIS CONTRACT.
BY SIGNING THIS CONTRACT THE BUYER AND SELLER AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS CONTRACT AND BUYER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THEY HAVE RECEIVED A COPY OF THIS CONTRACT.
